On 27th April, 2026 the PCC met for the first time since our APCM. We were delighted to welcome new member, Mark Billinge as well as Jill Atkins and Rosemary Garner in their new capacities as outgoing and incoming secretaries, respectively. Thanks to Jill and Rosemary for their invaluable service.
Members were pleased to note significant progress made toward the mapping of the churchyard and discussed future maintenance plans, as well as safeguarding updates from the diocese and our latest finance statements (with thanks to treasurer Jeremy Brudenell).
There are two items for special note:
We have recently welcomed a shiny addition to the sink in the north aisle. A new tap has been sourced and installed that not only enables the flow of both hot and cold water but, importantly, turns off reliably. Already a source of joy to members on our coffee rota, we look forward to years of chrome-plated service.
Advance notice for Moulsford Florists. The PCC agreed to invest in a stock of environmentally-friendly oasis for the use of flower arrangers in Church. We hope that this will reduce potentially harmful waste while limiting costs for the generous team on our flower rota. The new oasis is being sourced and will be available soon (look out for further announcements) so our talented band of arrangers can being experimenting with this new medium.
